Usually the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure each year, liposuction (also known as "lipoplasty" or "suction lipectomy") sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat from areas around the thighs, knees, abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, breasts, neck and upper arms. The tumescent technique and the super-wet technique are among the various techniques used to provide safe and precise control. Liposuction is not a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise, but the procedure can eliminate areas of fat that are unresponsive to typical weight-loss methods.

We also offer traditional suction assisted lipectomy (SAL) as well as ultrasonic-assisted lipectomy (UAL) which uses high frequency sound waves to liquefy subcutaneous fat cells and facilitate low level aspiration. The ultrasonic energy acts primarily on the fat cells and has no effect on the vascular, nervous, or connective tissues. SMARTLIPO Triplex Manhattan

SMARTLIPO Triplex offers great results with less trauma and less downtime. It uses laser technology to melt and liquefy the fat within the fat cells. In addition, it smoothes and tightens the skin. It can be utilized alone to treat smaller areas of fat, such as below the chin, or in combination with liposuction to remove larger areas of fat such as in the abdomen, flanks and thighs.

Tumescent liposuction is performed by instilling dilute solutions of lidocaine and epinephrine into the fatty areas of the areas to be treated. This fluid anesthetizes the areas to be treated, plus it decreases bleeding very significantly. The procedure can thus be performed while the patient is awake with minimal discomfort and quicker recovery. Many people can return to work and normal activities within one to a few days.
