(Arm Lift)
Brachioplasty is surgically recontouring the arms. The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia or deep sedation. In order to remove the unwanted skin, an incision is required that may run from near the elbow into the armpit. The incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location (inner arm toward the back), but some scarring is almost always visible. Occasionally, a short scar version is possible, where the scar sits only in the armpit crease. Dr. Berger will let you know if you are a candidate for this procedure.

Lower Body Lifts
The lower body lift is performed to remove loose, excess skin from the torso and upper legs. It offers an improvement in appearance for patients who have lost significant amounts of weight due to childbearing, diet, exercise or bariatric surgery. The procedure is often combined with others such as breast lifts and arm lifts to retain a proper body proportion. The portion of the procedure on the front of the body is similar to an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). The scar then extends around the torso along the top of the buttocks.

Post Bariatric Surgery
Bariatric or gastric bypass surgery can be highly successful in helping morbidly obese patients lose large amounts of weight. One unfortunate result is that the stretched and inelastic skin hangs loose over the slimmer body.
Post-bariatric plastic surgery combines reconstructive and cosmetic techniques to tighten, lift and contour sagging areas for a more attractive appearance. The patient may choose to treat the arms, breasts, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, neck, face or other areas. The choice of procedures and the order in which they are performed are individualized to each patient's needs. In fact, some surgeries may be combined. Dr. Berger will discuss all of your options with you in planning your surgeries.

- Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
