Usually the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure each year, liposuction (also known as “lipoplasty”, “liposculpture” or “suction lipectomy”) sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat from areas around the thighs, knees, abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, back, breasts, neck and/or upper arms. The tumescent technique and the super-wet technique are among the various techniques used to provide safe and precise control. Liposuction is not a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise, but the procedure can eliminate areas of fat that are unresponsive to typical weight-loss methods.
We also offer traditional suction-assisted lipectomy as well as ultrasonic-assisted lipectomy (UAL) which uses high frequency sound waves to liquefy subcutaneous fat cells and improve the skin appearance and/or Laser-assisted lipectomy (LAL), harvesting the latest technology to improve the surgical outcome. (See SmartLipo) The choice of SAL, UAL and/or LAL will be made with you after your consultation with Dr. Berger.
